Izzy's high quality calligraphy coupled with this freely written border design makes this a lively, modern, yet elegant ketubah. The border design on this unique ketubah contains two texts: "Kol sasson v'kol simchah, kol chatan v'kol kallah" and "Ani l'dodi v'dodi li" - ("The voice of gladness, the voice of joy, the voice of the groom, the voice of the bride", and "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine.")

Izzy Pludwinski is a professional calligrapher in both Hebrew calligraphy and English calligraphy. What his works have in common is a certain simplicity - the challenge of designing without reliance on illustration, underlying his belief in the power of the letters and words themselves, as expressed through pure calligraphy, to relate the emotional content of the text.
